Keldurn

After Turtle WoW and Ascension

Moving your guild to a new realm

Short answer

Agree on the realm and faction first, reserve your guild name early and plan the first week together: shared starting zone, levelling groups and a meeting place. Guilds need a charter signed by other players to be created, so gather members before you start. On Keldurn, members can join from a browser, phone or Windows.

The first week

Starting together keeps a guild alive. Pick races that share a starting zone so the first groups form naturally, and schedule two or three evenings for group quests and the first dungeons.

Buy a guild charter from a guild master in a capital city and collect signatures from other players; once it is complete you can register the guild name.

Keeping everyone in

The members who drop off are usually the ones with the most friction getting in. On Keldurn, members can play from a browser, a phone or a Mac without installing anything, which helps casual members stay.

Share the sign-up link in your guild channel and ask everyone to choose the same faction.

  • Pin the sign-up link and the chosen faction.
  • Pair new or casual members with a regular for the first levels.
  • Plan the first dungeon run around level 15 to 20.

Roles to hand out before the move

A move goes smoother when a few members own specific jobs: one recruiter who answers questions, one planner who schedules the first group nights and one crafter who coordinates professions so the guild is not full of tailors.

Agree early on how the guild bank will work once it exists. Clear rules from day one prevent the most common arguments in new guilds.

Questions players ask

Can we keep our old guild name?

If nobody on the new realm has taken it, yes. Register it as soon as your charter is complete.

Can members on phones join raids?

They can join any group, but dense raid encounters are easier on a larger screen.
