Solo levelling at x1: what works
Short answer
Yes. Most vanilla quests can be done alone at x1, and hunters, warlocks and druids are the most comfortable solo classes thanks to pets, drain spells or shapeshifting. Group up for elite quests and dungeons, which give the best rewards. On Keldurn, the Global channel from level 5 makes finding a group quick when you need one.

Quest efficiently
Accept every quest in a hub, complete them in one loop and return together. Skip quests that send you to the far side of a zone for a single kill until you have others there.
Keep food and bandages ready: less downtime between fights is the biggest solo speed-up at x1.
When grouping saves time
Elite quests and dungeons give better items and experience per hour. Two players questing together also kill faster and share travel time.
On Keldurn, ask in the Global channel from level 5 or group with friends who join from their phones or computers.
Save time between fights
Downtime, not killing speed, is what slows solo levelling at x1. Cut it with a few habits:
- Carry food and drink for your level at all times.
- Learn First Aid and use bandages between fights.
- Pull one enemy at a time until you know a camp.
- Plan vendor trips around your training visits.
Hunters and warlocks can let their pet take the first hits while they finish eating or drinking, which cuts downtime even further.
Questions players ask
Is grinding mobs better than questing?
Questing is usually faster at x1 because quest rewards add large chunks of experience.
Do I need a group for every dungeon?
Yes. Dungeons are designed for five players.
