Keldurn

After Turtle WoW and Ascension

Surviving your first PvP realm

Short answer

On a PvP realm, players of the other faction can attack you in contested zones. Level with a friend, keep an eye on the map edges, avoid questing next to busy flight paths when outnumbered and switch zones if you are camped. Starting zones and capital cities are safe. Keldurn runs a single PvP realm.

How to avoid bad fights

Most deaths happen while you are already fighting a monster. Clear space around you before a quest objective, and rest to full health before the next pull when enemies are nearby.

Players several levels above you are best avoided: move on and come back later.

Turning PvP into fun

World PvP is what makes a PvP realm memorable: a skirmish in a contested zone, a friend who arrives just in time. Groups make it fair, so call for help in your guild or the Global channel.

Battlegrounds are the organised alternative when you want PvP on your own terms.

Flagging basics

On a PvP realm, everyone can fight in contested zones. In your own faction's territory, enemies can only attack you if you have attacked one of them first, while in enemy territory you can always be attacked.

Capital cities have guards that defend their faction, so fighting near an enemy city is rarely a good idea at low level.

Questions players ask

Can I opt out of PvP on Keldurn?

Keldurn runs a single PvP realm, so contested zones allow world PvP. Starting zones and cities are safe.

Do I lose anything when another player kills me?

Only time: you run back from the graveyard as with any other death.
