A shortcut to the endgame
RetroWoW has used that name since 2015 and is built around one idea: skip the climb to 60. New characters can start at the cap with a starter set, or level at three times the normal rate if they want to see the zones.
Raids are resized for small groups. Onyxia's Lair, Molten Core, Blackwing Lair, Zul'Gurub, both Ahn'Qiraj raids and Naxxramas can be cleared by five players and reset every two days, and tier sets 1 to 3 can also be bought from vendors.
PvP and quality of life
Battleground queues mix factions so they start at most hours, and arenas in 2v2, 3v3 and 5v5 award tokens. Transmogrification lets you keep the look you like while upgrading gear. Open-world PvP stays on.
These changes make RetroWoW easy to enjoy in short sessions, at the cost of the slow, social levelling that defines original vanilla.

Arena and battleground queues are open from the start, so a fresh level 60 can try PvP on the first evening.
Compared with Keldurn
Keldurn is the opposite choice: blizzlike 1.12 at x1, 40-player raids and the full road to 60, playable in a browser. If you only want endgame tonight, RetroWoW fits; if you want the original world at its original pace on any device, try Keldurn.
