Chromebook browser play
A classic MMORPG on Chromebook without installing Windows
The official World of Warcraft desktop client is not a native ChromeOS application. Keldurn's independent browser client can remove that operating-system barrier on compatible Chromebook hardware.
No Linux container or Windows compatibility layer
Keldurn opens as a web application, so its supported path does not require enabling Linux, installing Wine or replacing ChromeOS. The browser itself only needs to be up to date and support WebGPU.
Recent Chromebook models vary from low-memory education devices to capable laptops. Passing the browser checks matters more than the Chromebook product name.
What matters before you start
- The browser path does not ask the player to modify ChromeOS.
- Managed school or work policies can still disable required capabilities.
- Keyboard and fine-pointer input use the desktop control path automatically.
A good Chromebook first run
Use an updated ChromeOS build, close heavy tabs and connect to reliable Wi-Fi. The first load takes longer than a return visit, which starts faster.
Low-end devices may load successfully but choose reduced visual settings for stable frame pacing. Keldurn's objective is a responsive session, not forcing the highest graphics option.
Respect managed-device boundaries
Some organizations disable WebGPU, browser storage or game domains. Keldurn does not provide instructions for evading those controls. On an allowed personal Chromebook, the compatibility surface can report missing browser capabilities before account creation.
Once the account is verified, character and progression live on the Keldurn realm. A player can later continue on another supported browser or the Windows client.
