Keldurn

No traditional install

Classic MMORPG play without installing a desktop client

Keldurn can start from a browser tab, which is useful on machines where a traditional game install is inconvenient or unavailable. It is important to be precise: browser play still transfers game code and data.

No installer does not mean zero bytes

You do not need to install Keldurn as a desktop application to use the web client. The browser downloads the game files it needs and keeps many of them for later visits.

Clearing site data, using private browsing or changing devices can produce another cold load. Returning from the same browser profile is normally faster because cached resources can be reused.

What matters before you start

  • No administrator-level desktop installation is part of the browser path.
  • The first cold visit is heavier than a warm return visit.
  • A native Windows client remains available for players who prefer it.

Where browser play helps

A browser client can fit Chromebooks, tablets, Macs, shared machines and low-storage devices better than a large traditional install. It can also remove launcher updates from the moment a new player first decides to try the realm.

Work and school devices may restrict graphics features, storage or gaming sites. Keldurn does not advise bypassing an organization's policies; the compatibility check should be run only where the player is allowed to use the service.

How Keldurn makes return visits faster

Files kept from earlier visits let the game start faster next time, and Keldurn prepares the starting area before you take control, so the first steps feel smooth.

The exact result depends on bandwidth, CPU, storage and browser eviction. Keldurn measures cold and warm starts separately rather than promising that every first load is instant.
