About Onyxia's Lair
Onyxia's Lair is a single-boss raid in a cave of the Wyrmbog, home to the brood mother of the black dragonflight. The fight has three phases: she starts on the ground, takes to the air while whelps pour from the side caves, and lands again for the final phase with fearsome breaths and eruptions.
On Keldurn, Onyxia's Lair follows the rules of patch 1.12 with x1 rates, so preparation, consumables and a coordinated raid matter as much as they did then.
Onyxia's Lair bosses
Onyxia's Lair has a single encounter.
- Onyxia
How to reach Onyxia's Lair
The cave is in the Wyrmbog in the south of Dustwallow Marsh, on the way from Theramore. Both factions reach it by flying to Theramore or Brackenwall Village.
Before the first pull
A raid of 40 needs a plan before the first pull: assign tanks and healers, bring consumables and learn each encounter first.
- Complete the faction attunement chain that ends with the Drakefire Amulet.
- In the air phase, ranged damage stays spread to avoid her fireballs.
- Never stand in front of her during the deep breath in the last phase.
